I live and breath this world. Take a look at P&G's Tide website: www.tide.com . They have an original series called "Cresent Heights" produced by an agency with the input of Tide execs. Also, Sprint has a series called "In The Motherhood" - www.inthemotherhood.com. Both are excellent examples of advertising as content. This reminds me of the classic TV shows from the 50's with advertisers sponsoring entire TV shows.

Thanks, Jenny! Dead on - here's a link for more info: http://www.boston.com/business/ticker/2007/01/mullen_wins_10m.html.
Reportedly, it's a $10 million annual account.

Best,
Matt

I believe La Quinta's advertising agency is Mullen out of Winston Salem.
I agree, this is a very smart ad.
