Preamble

In network communications, a preamble is a signal that indicates “someone is about to transmit data.”  In law, it is an introductory explanation of purpose. In the blogosphere, it is a tree falling in a forest making a sound that no one hears. Good thing Google’s explorers are on their way.

So what exactly is this starter post “walking in front of?” I intend to write about change. As an investor in early stage companies, my interests skew towards the new, new thing and industry change agents. Specifically, I’m interested in the evolving media landscape and consumer-focused healthcare models, but I’ll be tackling other issues too. In Guy’s lingo, I aim to be an essayist rather than a human news-bot or ranter.

It’s time to join the conversation. Bear with me as I begin to blog.
